Residency Programs
THMEP sponsors ACGME-accredited residency programs in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and a Transitional Year program. In addition, we have an ASHP-accredited one-year Pharmacy residency. Use the program pages below to learn more about each residency program offered at TMC.
As we begin a new academic year, we are proud to welcome the inaugural class of Neurology residents to Tucson Medical Center, marking an exciting milestone in the growth of our Graduate Medical Education programs.
Since launching our Transitional Year Residency Program in 1983, TMC has expanded its commitment to physician training with Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, and now Neurology. When fully staffed, these programs will support approximately 70 resident physicians, with continued growth planned.
TMC also serves as a key training site for several partner institutions, including residency programs at the University of Arizona, El Rio Health, and Marana Health, strengthening our role as a leading center for graduate medical education in Southern Arizona.
