Assoc. Program Director
Milan Jansky, M.D.
Dr. Milan Jansky attended medical school at Charles University in Prague before moving to the United States. He began his postgraduate training with an internship in psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston but soon discovered his true passion lay in internal medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency in Austin, Texas, followed by a fellowship in geriatrics at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.
In 2005, Dr. Jansky joined El Rio Community Health Center, where he has served as a staff physician ever since. A dedicated educator, he is deeply committed to the training of residents and other healthcare professionals. His teaching philosophy centers on the principle that “less is more,” with a focus on avoiding the unnecessary medicalization of aging and promoting quality of life for older adults.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Jansky is a passionate environmental advocate. He commutes to work by bicycle year-round—even during the peak heat of summer—and often inspires his learners to join him for hiking or cycling activities.
Program Coordinator
Jessica Preble, C-TAGME
With over a decade of experience in Graduate Medical Education, I currently serve as the Internal Medicine Residency Program Coordinator, where I blend organizational precision with genuine care for resident development. Since beginning my GME journey in 2011, I’ve supported programs across Pulmonary and Critical Care, Neurology, Psychiatry, Transitional Year, and now Internal Medicine—each shaping my deep understanding of the unique needs of trainees.
Since joining my current institution in 2018, I’ve held multiple roles that have allowed me to champion both operational excellence and resident well-being. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is watching residents grow into confident, compassionate physicians. I’m especially passionate about creating wellness initiatives that bring balance and joy to their demanding schedules—from game nights and pumpkin carving to holiday parties, community runs, and scenic hikes.
I believe that behind every successful residency program is a strong support system—and I’m proud to be part of that foundation.
