Post-Doctoral Cardiovascular Research Fellowship
Our postdoctoral fellowship offers an unparalleled opportunity to perform clinical and population-based research in leading-edge therapies offered at TMC Health. Tucson Health Medical Education Program (THMEP) offers this grant-funded fellowship in collaboration with TMC Health Clinical Research to further prepare future lead investigators under the mentorship of an experienced investigator.
The Cardiovascular Research Fellowship Program is structured as a one year non-ACGME accredited research program designed to prepare a post-doctorate fellow with the proficiencies required to undertake clinical cardiovascular research through the following goals:
- To participate in multiple ongoing cardiovascular pivotal studies, investigator initiated studies, national registries, abstract and cases preparation and presentation.
- To participate and contribute to the academic and teaching undertakings at the research institute, with a primary focus on the cardiovascular discipline.
- To add prestige and distinguish our cardiovascular research program from other research programs in the region.
- To remain competitive nationally where large academic institutions already have research fellowships.
- To support the overall growth of the cardiovascular research volume for the center.
